Common Zakat Questions Answered
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about Zakat — from installment payments and fluctuating wealth to giving Zakat to family members.
Can I pay Zakat in monthly installments?
Yes, if you know your annual Zakat amount in advance. This can make the obligation more manageable and provide steady support to recipients. However, ensure:
What if my wealth fluctuates during the year?
Zakat is calculated on your wealth on your Zakat anniversary date, not on fluctuations throughout the year. If your wealth drops below nisab during the year but rises above it on your Zakat date, Zakat is still due.
